Have you ever stopped to wonder what your life would be without music?  Music, like the electricity we take for granted, is an all pervasive part of our existence. Admittedly, life without  electricity would be an uncomfortable to downright catastrophic misery (can we say Katrina?). On the other hand, life without music would dramatically "color" our world as sterile, empty, less communicative.

In Denham Springs, LA there is a brand spanking new theatre company called Spotlight Players and they are about to open their very first show ever. They have chosen Steel Magnolias and it promises to be a huge success for this fledgling group.

The Region 6 AACT/Fest 11 in Lewisville, TX was filled with informational workshops, constructive comments from three highly qualified adjudicators and great theatre as well as fun filled days and evenings spent in the company of like -minded theatre folk.

From North Louisiana to Central Louisiana to South Louisiana - what a festival we just had! Seven theatre groups from all around the state along with the work and talents of more than 100 artists and technicians converged on Jefferson Performing Arts Society (JPAS).
The Louisiana AACT/Fest '11 was held on February 18—19 at the JPAS Westwego Performing Arts Theatre.

Festival time is here! Soon the stage lights will dim as we begin the State of Louisiana AACT/Fest 2011. Jefferson Performing Arts Society in Metarie, LA has made preparations for theatre folk from all around the state to converge on them, bringing their best traveling show for the festival.
