Actors Theatre of New Orleans

After more than half a decade, Actor's Theatre of New Orleans is closing their doors.  Perhaps it would be more fitting to say we are moving to a new location. This re-grouping and re-booting will allow us to find a more suitable space, a larger building, and one that will certainly bring a more promising future to our theatre community. Presently several properties are being researched.

ACTS Theatre

About UsBack in 1965 a group of eight persons became aware that there was a need for an organization dedicated to theatre under the direction of one who not only had been trained in theatre but who knew the psychology of community involvement.  As an outgrowth of these eight persons’ acute observations, a theatre was planned, incorporated, and opened which indeed from its first day operated under the direction of a professional. The theatre was to be for everyone, for all ages, for all types of theatre productions.  And from its inception, Artists Civic Theatre & Studio, Inc.

All Things Theatre in Acadiana

There is so much going on in theatre all over the Acadiana and nowhere to find a convenient listing of it all. The purpose of this blog is to try to remedy that. We will attempt to keep listings of shows, events and auditions from all the theatres in the area. If we are missing your company or production, please let us know. Some of the area theatres have websites. Links to those are provided. Some companies do not have web pages, so we will provide names and addresses to those. If we forget someone, let us know.
